This premium structural primer is a long running market favourite for a very good reason – it gets the job done with ease and efficiency. To keep it at the top of its game, this fast drying, alkyd zinc phosphate primer has been further enhanced with an upgraded formulation featuring higher solids and even better application characteristics and overall performance.
Based on tough alkyd resins that give it strong anti-corrosive properties, RUS Rustfighter Primer has been formulated for use on suitably prepared steel substrates, such as structural steel, mild steel, piping and equipment and tank exterior surfaces. The choice of four Australian Standard colours (RUS-N61 Black, RUS-N64 Dark Grey, RUS-N14 White and RUS-N63 Red Oxide) allow the users to choose a colour which is sympathetic to the topcoat, thus providing an effective groundcoat that helps achieve quicker topcoat colour coverage, while also reducing topcoat material usage. A choice of two reducers – normal (Normal) and hot (Slow) – make it easier to effectively deal with various application conditions or job sizes.
